Aiman Mimiko is an award-winning Nigerian-American Writer/Director based in Los Angeles.

His work centers on African and Muslim perspectives, and the challenge of self-identity in a world where no one pronounces your name right on the first try.

Aiman’s pilot, Casual Patricide, was a 2022 semifinalist for Fox’s Writers’ Incubator, Almanack Screenwriters’ Episodic Lab, and Humanitas’ College Comedy Award. In 2021, he participated in MPAC Hollywood’s Black Muslim TV Writers’ Lab with his teleplay, House Call.

Most recently, his feature, Quarters, was part of ISF's Inaugural Muslim Writer's Lab.

Aiman holds an MFA in Film from Columbia University. He's currently based in Los Angeles (but really misses NYC).

Aiman Mimiko is a Princess Grace Award winner and BAFTA Newcomer..
